Maths Challenge Day!!

"Awesome! Amazing! Fantastic!" Were all responses when the children were asked if they had enjoyed their maths day. 

Children worked in their year groups, moving around to the different teachers who had a variety of maths challenges planned for them. Some were measuring trees and looking for maths outside, others were looking at Roman numerals or searching for some tricky shapes to make a Pic Collage with. Another fun activity involved children answering times table questions by making their bodies into the answers. Looking at different ways of making 2019, using all 4 operations was also popular along with code breaking.

All day children were moving about, applying their maths skills and learning new things in fun ways. At the end of the day everyone was enthusiastic about their day of maths even the staff! The children have already approached us to ask for an English day, so watch this space!
