Llandudno Residential
Recently, we went to Llandudno which was great fun! It was to teach us to be independent. On the day, I got up, got dressed and eventually left. At school, we were in our classroom getting ready to go. I hate bus rides, so I was nervous. The whole school waved us off as we travelled to Conwy.
Finally, we arrived at Conwy. After lunch we had a tour of Conwy Castle which was really fascinating! All of the stuff we learnt there interested me! It only took four and a half years to build the Castle! After that, we got back on the bus to Llandudno. It was really sunny when we arrived at the hostel. The place was lovely! All the things were old fashioned, (it was built in the Victorian times). Our room (the year 5 girls and me) had a quite empty room until we made it messy. Excitingly, we went tobogganing in the evening.
When we finished tobogganing, we walked back to the hostel but stopped at the beach by the pier. I love the beach, all the shells, rocks and the sea were beautiful, and everything was calm! Later we went home (to the hostel) and went to bed.
On Thursday, we all got up and got ready to go the tram station after breakfast. The Tram up the Great Orme was nice, the view was best part, the water was sparkling and it was so blue and clear! At the of the hill we went to the park. Half an hour later, we went to find fossils (we couldn’t keep them though). To me, it was fascinating, how long it takes form is amazing!
After that, we went to the Coppermine. Some children didn’t go in them, but I did. It was cramped and I couldn’t see anyone at first! Anyway, I was glad when I was out! Back at the hostel, we chilled out for about an hour and then went to the beach! This was my favourite part of the whole trip! I spent my whole time there making a sign (Norley School) made of rocks. Then of course we went to the hostel for bed.
It was Friday, and all of the year 5 girls were upset. They weren’t crying, they just didn’t want to leave. I didn’t, it was quiet without my brother! By around 8:30am we were all dressed (except one person). When we were ready to go downstairs, she was still getting dressed. An hour later, we walked to the Pier (I hate walking).
After finally getting there, I got my £10.00 out straight away! We could buy stuff unsupervised, but you had to go with a friend. I went with two of my friends. While on the Pier, I bought, a slushy, rock candy, and some swag (sunglasses). After that amazing time on the pier, we ate lunch and went back the hostel to grab our bags.
Getting on the bus made me sad but, thinking back to what I did in Llandudno made me grateful. Though, I still didn’t like the bus ride!
Llandudno is an incredible place, a place I’ll always miss.
